Hello, Ludo here again.
It’s been an interesting week. The man came to make noises in the kitchen, but by Wednesday we didn’t really care, and Mummy gave up putting us in the summerhouse cages, because we were just fine in our runs.
She went out very early one day to do her bird survey and was happy when she came back because she’d seen a bird she’d not seen since Norfolk. And then later she was talking to Uncle James and said something about it being the first recorded in Hampshire this year. I don’t understand why this is important but she seemed happy about it.
Saturday was very quiet, because Mummy went out with her books, and nobody came to play in the kitchen. Someone came on Sunday, though, at the same time as the ice cream lady, and there was Mummy walking around talking to the project man, eating her ice cream. Apparently the project man’s wife and family had come too, but stayed outside eating their ice creams. Mummy had lots of questions about the kitchen, and he answered them all and she’s happy with everything, although something has to be reordered so it will take weeks to finish. But we get the washing things and fridge back this week, so Mummy was in a very good mood when he left.
We went out in the garden. Mummy did something to the vegetable patch. The lettuce plants are ready to eat but the lettuce seeds didn’t grow. So she sowed some more. We had a leaf of the big lettuce for breakfast and it’s very nice, very tasty.

And then…. I had a bath! I got all wet under the tap (in the bathroom, of course), then got shampooed with ‘Just for Boars’. Mummy turned me over in the water so she could do between my legs. I was a bit worried about lying on my back in the water, but the bowl had a nice curve and I felt safe, so I lay back and enjoyed it. Then I got rinsed off, and wrapped in a towel, and cuddled on Mummy’s lap until I was nearly dry. Then she got a noisy blowy thing that blew hot air over me and helped me get drier. Then I went back in my run and had some tea. Bathing makes you hungry, I think.
Pippin just had his grease gland washed. He didn’t mind the washing, but not the rinsing or drying. You can’t please some people.
I’m going for a check-up later today. (That’s why the project man came yesterday, we wouldn’t have been here if he came today.) Mummy wants to take Pippin too because he seems to have a lump between his lip and his cheek. Well, he is lippy and cheeky, so I suppose it comes naturally to him. 🤣

Very funny Ludo. I hope Pippins lump isn’t serious.

Mummy here. No, it was just thickening from a wound that looks like he was bitten when he poked his nose through into Ludo’s cage. I’d missed that. I’ll let him tell you more next week!
