Hi, Pippin here again!
I think we only went outside on one or two days since I last saw you. It’s been warm enough, but it’s also been showery. Sometimes the grass was too wet. And Mummy says there are some strange black patches she needs to investigate. She thinks they may be where the hay has been. She wants to scratch them away today to make sure we don’t eat something bad. I think know what she means. There was a patch in my run that I thought was suspicious. I kept away from it. I hope she can scratch them away and move our runs somewhere safe.

One thing I haven’t told you about. Ronnie is getting very friendly. He comes and sits next to me. He often makes rude remarks, but that’s better than avoiding me, which he’s always done before. He’s also friendlier with Mummy. He comes up to her now, when she visits them. And he’s funny when we have our evening biscuit. I stand up with my forelegs on the side of the run, but he stands on his hind legs, balancing to reach up for it. It’s not that Mummy holds it high. She brings it to wherever we are, like Reggie underneath their fiddlesticks. I think Ronnie is just trying to show her he’s keen, and making up for being funny in the past.
Reggie is still easy-going when we’re out on the floor in the morning, although I tend to be getting tired when he comes along. Then Ronnie comes along and I go back to my run. Mummy tried seeing if we got along together, but no, not on the floor. He’s alright in his own space though.
So that’s it for today, and next week it’s September. Mummy says she might give us autumn presents to keep us busy when we don’t have garden time any more. That sounds interesting, doesn’t it?
love
