Hullo, Reggie here.

We had a good week, all the usual things: cucumber, cuddles, runs around the room. I think we only went out side on the grass once, maybe twice, and there was lots of nice grass to eat.

Then on Saturday, Mummy disappeared.

We heard her making our morning treats in the kitchen, then suddenly she went back to her room, and we heard strange sounds for a while. I asked Pippin what it was, but he’d never heard them before. After a while we heard Mummy sounding very strange, going down to the bathroom. Then it was quiet again, but we heard Mummy talking quietly, and a long time later there was someone at the front door, and they opened it and came in. Then Auntie Joan came in, and Mummy told her how to do Pippin’s meds. And Pippin was very good and stayed in his tunnel to take them. And Mummy was taken away by two people in green suits .

Well, Auntie Joan came back later with Auntie Anne, and they were saying something about looking after us till Mummy was better. Auntie Joan sounded very worried about this, and any way, after Pippin gave them the runaround but eventually took his meds, they went away leaving us nice bowls of pellets and a little hay.

Then yesterday, it was much the same but Auntie Anne gave us a huge pile of hay, and told us that today we’d be going to stay with Auntie Anna at Wheek and Squeak for a holiday, until Mummy gets better.

Auntie Anna! She’s ever so nice. Ronnie and I lived with her for ages. But I hope Mummy comes back soon, because I don’t want to stay there for a long time like we did before. But Pippin will get all his meds okay, and that’s important.

So thank you Auntie Joan, for looking after us. I think she was very nervous of us, but we’re very grateful that she came over to help.

So, it’s an adventure! But it’s not as good without Mummy.
