My hair’s a mess!

Hello, Locksley here again. Mummy was searching through my coat last week, taking bits of hay from it, and discovered several clumps where it’s all matted together. I don’t know how she finds these things. I groom myself just like Biggles showed me. I told Mummy that, and she said, well Biggles had much shorter hair than you, especially at the back.

I suppose that’s true. And it’s probably why I have such difficulty keeping it from getting tangled at the back. Mummy admitted that she used to brush Biggles the wrong way occasionally, because Auntie Doris recommended it. She doesn’t often do that to me because I hate it.

But she says I’m going to have to put up with it every day for a week. And if that doesn’t make it much better, she’s going to get the scissors out.

Oh, no, not the scissors!

She say she had to trim all the Sheltie boys’ backsides, and not to worry because it grows back again. I think I remember Roscoe had his rear trimmed. Actually it looked very smart.

Perhaps I’ll cope if the brushing doesn’t work. Ludo will be laughing at me next week, for sure.

Although I think Mummy thinks they all need baths.🤣

Hope your hair is looking nice.

love

Locksley xxxx

  1. Hi Locksley, I get mats on a regular basis and my two-legged has to cut them out (long hair tends to create them). I’m not averse to that but I have to be in the mood. RIght now I am do for a de-matting but I’m not sure I’m in the mood!

Saku was a sheltie, as your mummy remembers. I had to trim what I called his “poopy hairs” on a regular basis.

Augustus has been getting hard, clumped bits of hair on his butt; I lovingly call them “crusticles.” He needs butt baths every two weeks or so, and I often have to cut some really sticky bits off. He is not a sheltie! I have no idea what’s going on back there.

I hope the scissors do not make an appearance for you.

    XOXO
