Hi, Pippin here. It sounds silly, but I wish it would rain. Then we’d have fresh grass. It’s warm and sunny all day, and we go out on the grass, but there’s no grass, as we’ve eaten it. And the flowers and plants are pretty dried up although I usually find some trefoil that’s still juicy.

Mummy moved the runs again yesterday. Reggie and Ronnie got some we hadn’t eaten yet, although it was well walked. I got a bit of what they’d left (more than you’d expect) and a large patch I’d already been on for a week. So I went exploring, which made Mummy cross with me. I suppose I’d better not.

But if it rained overnight, the grass would grow, and everything would freshen up, and be tasty again. Mummy says we’re not expecting any rain. Not till the autumn.

The hedgehogs come most days though, and drink a lot of water. There’s one in the first picture.
