Today we have a guest post from Garfield, who is Auntie Noelle’s animal companion. I believe he’s a cat. And he lives in America, which is a long way from us in the UK. Take it away, Garfield!
The Garfield Chronicles
Hi there! I’m the G for the A-Z challenge, or at least that’s what my two-legged told me. I‘m still living in the ‘new’ house (it’s been three years) and I must say I miss the stairs in the old house. I loved galloping up and down. But I can have the zoomies here, too, from my two-legged’s office through the house to the front door. I have a sort of comfortable life. I say sort of because I am sometimes bored and I like to plague her when I need excitement, which is most of the time. Here I am helping her with her Christmas cards.

And poking into a cabinet where I’m sure I heard a cougar.

I’m also good at helping her pack for a trip.

I like to lounge on the bed, too. It’s my favorite place to sleep as long as the bed doesn’t get made, which is most days.

I heard my two-legged tell Mr. that she is going to get another cat to keep me company. He is not excited about it at all. Probably because I don’t tolerate him very much, except when she’s not here. He complains that he vacuums up a whole cat every week. I wonder what this new cat will be like.
Dr Anderson
This past year was not great since I had to go to see Dr. Anderson twice. The first time it took four tries to get me in that dreadful box to take me there. I objected mightily and hissed and growled to being taken out, once I got there. I felt a very hurtful prick in my rear end and then things went kind of loopy. There were more pricks and some other stuff that I can’t really remember and then my two-legged took me home.

Well, I broke off a tooth in the tussle at Dr. Anderson’s place and apparently that meant I had to go back for more stuff to do with my teeth. This time I got loopy right after I ate my bedtime meal and then again in the morning. My two legged said I was SO good to allow her to put me right in that box! I’m still wondering how that happened.
I don’t remember much after that, but I got some new food (because I had a sore mouth) and lots of petting when I came home. Along with some good nap time.
Enjoyment
For enjoyment, I watch the squirrels eating peanuts on the patio in the morning and I like to sit on the back of the couch so I can commune with birds that land just outside. Occasionally I warn them not to come any closer! And there’s this thing with feathers – I really like feathers – that my two-legged teases me with.

Greetings to all my friends who live with Jemima. I’d like to meet you sometime, but I’m not sure you would like me! I’m rather large, hairy, and orange…

Thank you Garfield!
Tha was a really amazing post. And if you think you’re large and orange… well, Mummy is large and Victor is orange, so I reckon you’d fit in just fine.

thank you, Willowdot. Mummy is taking me to the vet next Tuesday for a checkup. I don’t usually get needles in me like Garfield does. I like Dr Rebekah. And I have to ask her a question for my X post!

I am a pretty solitary cat, so going to see Dr. Anderson was overwhelming. I hope I don’t have to go again soon!

Thank you for featuring my post today! I am now battling with a new cat in the house. She wants to take over my territory. But she’s very small so I’m sure I can put her in her place!

thank you for your post today, Garfield. It was brilliant.
Mummy was looking at videos last night, trying to find one of us popcorning. But she did find one where baby Bertie and Biggles arrived and terrorised Percy. I imagine your new ‘friend’ is just as annoying!

That new cat – she’s called Samantha and I was told she’s a Manx – is bold as all get out. Nothing puts her off. My two legged says we’re going to have to learn to get along…mmm….

Nice to meet you Garfield. You and my boy, Tuffy could be twins. You are much tamer though. I can’t even brush him so he has a lot of mats right now and you are perfectly groomed and handsome.

I am very lucky since my two- legged can cut out my mats and I just love to be brushed! A friend of mine goes to Dr. Anderson to be shaved when the mats get too many. She looks funny afterward.

What a lovely post Garfield wrote for G! He’s quite a fluffy fella. Big guy too. Or, maybe it’s mostly fluff.

Great photos! I didn’t know cats did zoomies — I have dogs and horses who enjoy doing zooomies, though 🙂
