Hello, Locksley here.
I’ve been watching what Mummy’s been watching all week on her screen. I can see it from my cage. Not very well, but still.
But guess what! Humans can popcorn!
That’s what they’ve been doing all week and Mummy’s been watching them. They were competing in the World Popcorning* championships, different classes, and team events and all sorts. They wear brightly coloured costumes and they race around the floor, or swing from bars, or jump into the air and twist around ever so many times. It looked like great fun. Mostly when we popcorn we jump in the air and turn round, perhaps with an extra hop and skip if we feel like it.

Mummy said it looked like great fun, too, and she really admires their agility. She can’t do anything like that now (she says she never could). But she said that most of the humans there were between 16 and 30 years old, so that’s equivalent to between 1 and 2 of our years, and I confess I don’t think I can popcorn now I’m three. Mind you, Ludo never really showed me how.
Victor still popcorns occasionally, and he showed Pippin how to do it, but I don’t think anyone’s seen him do it. Maybe they both need brightly coloured costumes to encourage them.
How are you at popcorning?
Love
Locksley xxxx
*Mummy says the proper title is Gymnastics
I’m sorry to say that the European popcorning was not broadcast widely here or I would have watched it. I am WAY past doing anything like that! And I was too tall to begin with, Locksley. We are very into football now – and also soccer, which is different. I hope you are having a lovely autumn.

You are. Lucky. It sounds like you don’t age fast. With my poor cats, they are like 7 years older to our 1.
