Apologies to all my regular readers as there has been a very long gap between chapters of Victor’s Story. After I wrote this one I had to do a lot of thinking and planning and deciding, and then after George died in real life I had some thinking to do about his future role in the stories.

But now I think I’m back on track.  I’ve a slightly reshaped view of this story, but found that the chapter I’d last written needed little amendment to continue in the direction I wanted. I know how it all ends, but I’m not entirely sure how we’re going to get there yet – I dare say the characters will decide, as they usually do, which way we’ll go next!
