Hello, Ludo here.
I start to realise why Locksley would ask us what to write about each week. It’s hard at this time of year, to think of something to say.
It gets dark early, the evenings are long.
We get our food.
I’m bored with lettuce. Mummy worries I’m off my food, but I’m just a bit bored with it. She didn’t give us lettuce on Saturday or Sunday because she’d run out. Sunday we had chard from the garden. Then Sunday afternoon the Sainsbury’s man came much earlier than usual, and we had a small amount of different lettuce with beetroot in it. I liked that.

What else? Pippin is getting much better. He wakes up and comes and grumbles at me, but only a little. His nose has healed. He likes lying in his big bed which is now on the other side from where Locksley had it. It makes a little barrier between him and Victor at the spot where he likes to snooze, so they both have a bit of privacy.

So everything is settling down, although I still miss him. Mummy still uses his name when she means one of the rest of us. Usually me, but sometimes Pippin. And Mummy scattered Locksley’s ashes in the garden on Monday afternoon (last Monday). She’s writing a book at the moment, she wrote a little bit, then another little bit, then she started writing on Wednesday and hardly stopped. She even writes before she does us in the morning, if she wakes up early. And one night she didn’t turn the lights out till 1 am. We were very sleepy.
If she goes on like this she’ll be finished by next weekend. I think she should go out more, though.
Till next time

So glad that the news is generally good, even if times are boring. You look great, as does Pippin. Handsome, you two. Your Mum is on a writing kick – you’ll just have to bear with. Cucumbers to all!
