Pippin’s Progress (and Victor’s)

Hello, Locksley here.

Mummy’s had a busy week, but we’ve been working hard at eating hay and veggies for her. I discovered that our poop and waste hay goes onto the compost heap, which then becomes compost and goes onto the garden and grows our veggies. So the leaves and lettuce and things we get for breakfast are actually grown from vegetables we’ve already eaten.

Really! It’s true!

And Mummy wants to know why Victor and Pippin produce more than twice as much poo per pig as we do. I can see what she means, just by looking at the space their garden run was on earlier in the week.

Pippin is still rumbling at me, but Victor sometimes rumbles at him, but not at me.

Yesterday Mummy put me in the run she sets up on the floor for them in the morning. Then she brought Victor back and put him in too. So we chatted for a bit, and then ignored each other when Mummy put some nice hay in. Then she brought Pippin back after his Cucumber & Cuddle time.

Um… not so good. Victor decided he could boss me about, as well as Pippin, and I was busy telling Pippin that I was much bigger than him and he should do what I said. Well, I am much bigger than Pippin, I think standing on him proves that. But Mummy picked me up and said we’d all done very well, but that was enough for today.

She keeps telling me I’m a good boy, though, so I must be doing something right. I’m a bit confused, to be honest.

It’s been nice out on the grass, though. I think we’re going to be doing more of that this coming week. As well as checking each other out on the floor in the morning.

It would be nice to have a friend again. If I have to have two, that’ll be okay, too.

See you next time

  1. I think it’s going to take time for you all to adjust to each other, Locksley, but eventually, you will have two new friends. Good news that you are back up to four in number.

It’s going to take time for you to all get used to each other, but I’m glad you’re off to a great start with that. Sounds like the new boys are settling in well.
