It keeps raining

Hello, Locksley here.

It keeps raining and we can’t go outside on the grass. Sometimes Mummy goes and cuts us some if the sun is shining late in the day, because it won’t get dry enough for us in time to go and run on it. We can tell it’s wet, because, well, the grass is a little wet when she gives it to us. It would be uncomfortable on our feet and tummies if we ran around on it.

At the weekend it was very windy, as well as rainy. Mummy took this photo of the trees waving about, but they probably don’t show up that well. She took some photos of me on the sofa yesterday morning as well, because she said I was looking beautiful. I think I’m just looking normal. Maybe a bit wistful about going outside.

Mummy has been watching something on her computer most of the week. It makes funny noises… blip, blop, cheer, then some talking, then it happens again, over and over. Mummy says it’s called tennis, and she’s watching Wimblydon. It finished yesterday, so it’ll be quiet for a few days. Then she’ll probably be watching her horses again.

I think the coming week is going to be showery, which means if we’re lucky we’ll get out on the grass, and if we’re not, we won’t. It almost makes me look back on those hot dry days and wish for some more.

Perhaps I’ll have to start interviewing people for the blog if nothing else interesting happens.

See you next week

love

  1. You are one handsome guy, Locksley! Very fluffy. We had a lot of rain earlier this summer and now we have heat, lots of it, day after day. The only relief is an occasional thunderstorm which scares Garfield. We were also watching Wimbledon – some great matches this year! I suspect it would bore you though!
