Hello, Bertie here again.
Roscoe told you last week we’re in our new house and room, and Mummy’s busy unpacking. She was very pleased yesterday because she finally found the kitchen cutlery. That’s what she said and it sounds important. She made herself a nice stew with red pepper and fennel and carrot and parsley in it. I know because we got the end bits of the carrots, the red pepper, the parsley and the cut-off bits of fennel.
You know I learnt to jump out of my cage and run around the living room checking up on everyone? Well, big news!
Mummy has put a ramp for me to climb back into my cage!
She leaves it up for most of the day, and leaves the top of my cage open. She only closes the top and takes the ramp away in the evening. It’s FANTASTIC! Any time I want to go exploring, or to stretch my legs, I jump out of the cage, and then when I’ve had enough, I go back in!
Actually, it’s quite boring when I’m out, because I’m the only one, and Mummy has cleared up all our smells from the morning run. But still. She does talk to me, and if I want a head scritch I can go and ask her for one.
If she’s not in the living room, that is. Roscoe and I aren’t allowed in the living room any more. There are lots of things in there that weren’t there before. But Mummy doesn’t want us leaving our messages on the carpet behind the big blue sitting thing. We still get our morning cuddles there, with Mummy sitting on the big blue sitting thing.
So, I like it here.
There’s going to be grass too. Mummy’s been picking us some handfuls of grass in the afternoon, but it won’t be long till we’re out on the new grass. Mummy’s having to water it at the moment. She said she should have started doing that a week ago. I think she’s worried about it, but I’m sure it’s growing.
See you next time.
Love
Bertie xxxx
It does sound like you’re all loving your new home. That’s great about the ramp… I can see why you’d be happy about that. Hope the grass grows enough for you to be out in it soon. Squeak soon, Mollie
