Hi, Pippin here. Although actually we’re in Mummy’s car at present.

It’s been hot all weekend, although it was okay in the week. A little rain, a little sun, and we went out in the garden a few days, then it was too wet. Then the weekend came, and we had the door open at night, and closed in the day, and the awning out for shade… and Mummy went out all day to sell her books. But we couldn’t go out when she came back, because it was still too hot.

We did get out though, and stayed out till the sun had disappeared. Well, it had already disappeared behind the house, to give us shade, but the blue in the sky was getting deeper, so I knew the sun had gone. It was nice, but Mummy brought us in, because she always sits with us when we’re in our runs. And she couldn’t read her book any more. Or maybe she could, because it has a light.

Apparently it’s going to be hotter this week. We’re having annual check-ups with Dr Rebekah this morning. Mummy said it was a good thing she made the appointments early in the day. But it’s quite cool in the car, so I don’t know what she’s worried about. She says the temperature is 21, so we don’t get too much of a shock when we get out. It says 24 outside. And Mummy expects it to read 30 when we drive home.

And then get hotter.

I don’t think we’ll be going out till very late tonight. Is it hot with you? Drink lots of water and keep cool. That’s what we’re doing.
