Hi! Pippin here, and it’s June! And it’s stopped being sunny. But that’s okay because it’s been too hot to do anything but sit in the coolish room with the outside shade over the door, and the blowy post wafting air across us every now and then.
It was very nice, because we’d go out in the evening when Mummy said it was cool enough, although it was always quite warm.We ate a lot of grass, and Mummy moved our runs twice!

I really appreciated our lovely long, clean grass after the best we could find at the cottage. You’ll notice the little yellow flowers in it. That’s called Bird’s-foot Trefoil, and it’s quite tasty. Someone was horrified because she thought they were buttercups, but they’re not. Buttercups are poisonous. Mummy found some and pulled it out, but she says there’s more to find and dig out. She wouldn’t let it grow in our runs, anyway.
We’ve also started having fresh leaves in our breakfast. Last week we had some extra herbs, but today we had celeriac stalks and leaves, dandelions and long grass along with our salad leaves. And kale. Mummy picked up kale instead of chard at the posh supermarket on Friday when we’d run out of other stuff, including cucumber. I’d much rather have chard. And then we got two cucumbers in our Oddbox on Saturday, and one from the delivery supermarket on Sunday. We had extra cucumber with cuddles this morning. Even though we’ve already eaten the small cucumber from the posh supermarket.

So that brings you right up to date. They said it was going to rain this morning, but Mummy put our washing in the machine anyway, and it still hasn’t rained. She hopes it does, because she’s tired of watering the plants.
So that’s our exciting life. How’s yours?
love
