Hi! It’s Pippin, from my blue holiday cage on the Isle of Wight.

We came on the ferry on Friday. It was a bit strange, because Mummy had to take us out of the car (in our boxes), and take us to the sitting area. I don’t think there was much room because our boxes knocked against things on the way. Then she put my box on the floor and Ronnie & Reggie on top. That was fine until the ship left the dock. It was pretty smooth, but there was a vibration coming from the ship into our boxes which made me feel weird. Mummy noticed and picked us up and stacked us on her lap. That was fine for the rest of the crossing. Then we went back to the car, and Mummy drove off the ship and onto the island. Then about ten minutes later we stopped at our cottage and got out,

It’s very nice here. We have our holiday cages under the television, on the floor. Mummy just has our usual music radio on, not the noisy television programmes. She has a bed up in the roof, and she has to go up and down stairs to it. I think she had enough of stairs on the boat, but she’s getting better at them.

Saturday was a nice morning and Mummy walked to the beach, and back through a nature reserve. It was clouding over, though, and started raining in the afternoon. She went out to get us more veggies because the fridge was too cold at the start and our lettuce froze and went all manky, so she threw it away. We had new lettuce yesterday and it was fine.

Apart from our cages we have large run behind the sofa, so we have our usual routine of me having a run, Reggie joining me, and then me going in when Ronnie comes and joins Reggie.

Yesterday Mummy went to see a castle, and she got a postcard for me to send Dr Rebekah! Then when she came back it was still sunny enough to go out on the grass. It’s only a small run, and the grass is not the best we’ve ever had, to be polite, but it’s always nice to be outside for a bit.

It might rain for the next two days, but Wednesday should be nice, and Thursday morning. Then we come home on Thursday afternoon. I think that’s the plan, anyway.
