A Quiet Week

Hello, Ludo here.

It’s been a quiet week here, as you might expect after Victor went over the rainbow bridge. Mummy brought his body over to each of us to say goodbye, which we did. Then she took him away, and on Friday she said she was scattering his ashes on our little hill where the bluebells grow. Everyone gets scattered there. Nobody eats bluebells, so it’s quite safe.

It was sunny towards the end of the week, which was very nice. But cold at night and in the morning, so not weather for going outside yet. Mummy brought us in some grass one or two days, though. She’s having trouble counting to two. She says she hasn’t had just two pigs for a very long time. She does things like cut three portions of cucumber. Pippin doesn’t mind, but I don’t like to have more than one portion. She says she over-ordered lettuce, so she cut back on it, and when it arrived last night it didn’t look enough for a week. I expect it’s going to be okay, though.

Yesterday was bed-changing day. Normally she gives us fresh fleece and underpads , and we go back and start messing them up. But yesterday she put me in Pip’s old cage, which she hasn’t got rid of yet because there was no room in the summerhouse or something. There was no fleece or anything, so I wondered what was going on. But then, while Pip was having his floor time, she took the three runs apart and put them back together again. But now there are only two! I have a big one with four panels, and Pip has an enormous one with five panels. She said we’ll get some more furniture and toys in a while, but I’m fine with what I had… when it comes back from being washed.

So this is our room now.

Mummy’s ebooks are all on sale this week. Somebody’s already bought Dylan’s book, the Messenger Misadventures. You can find out more here.

I’m in lots of the Princelings books. Pippin’s in some of them too. But I’m a baddie.

But I’m not a baddie any more, Mummy says. I’m loving and cuddly. Shhh. Don’t spoil my image!

till next time… love

Hi Ludo – well it is Spring and time for a change … many of us start coming out of hiding … I was out yesterday, while this week looks really sunny – enjoy your new home – I’m sure you’ll adjust. Take care … times can be sad – I lost a friend recently … all the best – Hilary
