Hello, Pippin here.

I’ve been left on my own again this morning. Actually, I had Victor for company last Monday, as Mummy decided not to take him to the vets as Ludo was down for an operation. But Ludo didn’t have the operation, Dr Rebekah gave him some new meds instead, and he likes them.

Mummy’s very pleased because he’s looking better, seems interested in food again, and is starting to behave like a normal guinea pig. Normal for Ludo, anyway. He’s even put on a little weight. I think that’s because Mummy’s been giving us Readigrass in the evening, which is yummy. It’s not as good as fresh grass, but fresh grass is rare in winter. Mummy sometimes goes out with her scissors to cut us a small amount each, but that’s less than once a week. Readigrass comes in a big handful, every night. And it’s been very very windy this weekend, so Mummy’s only gone out to feed the birds and empty our bucket of dirty bedding.

Victor’s lump is troubling him again, and he’s been scratching it. He wasn’t scratching it last week, when Mummy had planned to show it to Dr Rebekah, but he is now. Maybe Dr Rebekah will work some magic for him.

So they went off in the car with Mummy, and I’m here, all alone with my breakfast. When I’ve finished that, I’ll have a snooze in my tunnel. So nothing different from usual really.

Oh, Mummy took a Christmas present for Dr Rebekah, from us to her. It’s a picture Mummy saw at an exhibition that she thought Dr Rebekah would like. I hope she does. I hope Dr Rebekah doesn’t read this before she’s unwrapped it. It won’t be a surprise if she does. And apparently our Christmas presents have arrived. And Christmas is only two weeks away, a couple of days after the Winter Solstice. We’re all looking forward to the winter solstice, because after that the days start getting longer again. Mummy might wake up earlier again then.
