Hello, Pippin here. There’s nobody else except Mummy.

Everything looks the same, but it isn’t, because Ludo isn’t there. I didn’t realise how much I liked having him next door to me. We used to growl at each other a lot. But it was more friendly than it used to be, when I was the youngest and wanted to show everyone how big and strong I was. Maybe I should have made friends with them instead. But Mummy said they all had their problems, and she hoped the new boys who come will be more chilled. More like Roscoe and Neville. I never met them.

Mummy was tidying the place up yesterday. There’s a bit more to do today. There’s someone coming tomorrow to see whether Mummy can have new piggies. That sounds funny, as Mummy has had us for years. I checked. Mummy got new piggies from Sophie in 2010 when Humphrey and Hector came. Ever since then we’ve come from her. But she’s miles and miles away, hours of driving, so we’re meeting Anna, who is much closer. She’s been to see Anna, when Biggles died, to give her his expensive meds for one of her pigs. So now Anna’s going to see me and where the new pigs will live.

I’m swapping into the number 1 run, nearer the door. It’s got the best view, Mummy says.

I miss Ludo. Mummy comes and sits with me a lot, and chats, and works at her screen, but she’s not a guinea pig. She’s good to cuddle, though.

Maybe we’ll have new people soon.
