Did you have a good new year? We did. The fireworks weren’t too loud, although they did sound sort of crackly, and there were a few bangs. Mummy stayed up with us anyway, and then she went to bed. Her bell rang quite early and she got up, gave us cucumber cuddles and a clean out, then went out for the day.

She told me she went to see one of her horses, the same one she went to see in November (not the one that died in December). This time she was allowed to go right up to him in the paddock, instead of staying outside, and she got a free lunch, too. I think she enjoyed herself, but it was dark when she got home again.

Do you like our blog decoration for New Year? I don’t think it will last long. Mummy was tidying up all the Christmas decorations and things left decorating tables for two weeks. She says the Christmas tree will come down later, too. I like the Christmas tree. It sits there, twinkling in the corner. It’s got pictures of us all on there, from years ago. She’s got to get one of Ronnie & Reggie for next year, though.

On Wednesday Mummy’s talking about her plans for this year on her blog. It includes a book she’s been thinking about for years: the A to Z of George’s Guinea Pig World. It sort of combines two ideas for guinea pig books: George’s Wisdom, and a collection of our A2Z in April posts here over the years. She says she’s going to get a round tuit in April. I expect you understand her better than I do.

We’re all fine, and Reggie has expressed an interest in becoming my assistant on here. But next week… something special!
