Hi! Sir Pippin of Patching here. Well, Patching is the village where we’re staying. Mummy says it’s very pretty, although I haven’t seen much of it, because I was in my carry box when we drove through it, and we’ve been in the cottage ever since.

I’m in the blue cage and Ronnie and Reggie are in its box. It’s okay, we have our waterproof thing under our fleeces, and they are fine for a few days. I wouldn’t like to live in it all the time though. We also have a nice run on the floor. That’s got waterproof stuff under the fleeces too, and my fence panels from the garden. We have our morning runs in that. And afternoon runs too. Yesterday we had evening runs as well.

Mummy went for a walk on Saturday morning, then she took the car out for petrol and salad. The salad was for us, not the car. On Sunday she went back up the hill to take a photo of the church because she said it was going to rain and it would make a nice picture. And it started raining when she was on her way back, and hasn’t stopped yet. She was going to go to Arundel and visit the castle today, so she won’t get too wet, but she found out it’s closed on Mondays, so she’s going to a bird place with hides instead. What do they hide?

She sat next to my cage and painted a picture for most of yesterday. She also watched a film on the tv. We don’t usually see tv , she usually watches it on this iPad. It was a strange thing called Oppie-something. She thought it was interesting. I didn’t. R&R probably couldn’t see it, and they haven’t commented.

The best thing this weekend was when she let Reggie run around with me in the big run. He smells lovely. I followed him everywhere. Later she let Ronnie run around with me, but he’s very fussy and wants to chase me around as much as I want to chase him, so we go round in circles. Mummy usually comes along with my tent and tells me ‘that’s enough’. We did it again on Sunday. I hope we do it every day. Mummy says if we learn to play nicely together we’ll be able to do it at home, but not if we carry on like this. Spoilsport!

I don’t know what else we’ll be doing this week but we’re coming home on Friday. I’ll update you next week.
