Hi! It’s me, Sir Pippin of Popcorn.

Thank you Willowdot, for inspiring my new title. But as I was called Popcorn at first, we decided to use that rather than Poppet. It was very clever, though. All of the suggestions were clever, thank you very much.

I’m using Mummy’s big computer today. She’s helping me, because it takes a lot of effort, even though it is supposed to have guinea pig dictation enabled. The usual computer has a problem. The iParsnip thing. It died on Saturday night. Mummy spent all Sunday morning trying to revive it, then booked an appointment with the Apple doctor in Southampton for later this morning.

That meant that she didn’t get the birthday cake made. We were planning a birthday party for Ronnie and Reggie, but now it will be later in the week. Hopefully on a nice day in the garden, as yesterday we would have had to have it in the house. It’s been raining a lot. It’s also been quite cool. Mummy put the heating on yesterday because the front room was below a reasonable temperature for sitting in. I was quite comfortable on the red towel and cuddling Mummy, but I know what she means. She had woolly trousers on. She said she was warm enough, but it was better to have a slightly warmer house, and our heat pump only does enough, not more. That must be right, as it was comfortable for the rest of the day.

We don’t have a specific date for Ronnie & Reggie’s birthday, just ‘September 2023’. In fact we don’t know for sure whether they are twins, but they look too alike not to be. They don’t know either. Sometimes I think they’re a bit, well, soft in the head. I’m just used to very clever pigs around me, like Ludo and Victor. But I suppose if you spend a year in rescue when you’re quite young, you can be forgiven for not learning very much.

But they’ve learnt “up, up” when Mummy picks them up, and also to get into blue tent to come in from run time, so I suppose they are getting used to us. Ronnie makes a very high pitched squeak sometimes. I think he’s frustrated that Reggie’s in the tunnel where he wants to sit. But they’ve got two cosy tunnels, so what’s the problem?

I’ll tell you all about their birthday party next week. If the Apple doctor gets her iParsnip fixed.
