Hi! Sir Pippin of Cavyland here. That’s not my real name – I’m Pippin Pett on the vet register. But I’m a guinea pig, or cavy, and I’m leading my team on the A to Z Challenge next month. We usually blog every Monday, but I’m here to reveal our theme for every day in April except Sundays.

Guinea Pig Care
Mummy is putting together a book of all our posts here in the A2Z challenge, from 2012 to 2024 (we skipped some years), to create a Guinea Pig Care Guide. She’s revealing her theme here today.
But as she went through, she discovered we haven’t written posts about things that need to be included. And she gave me a list. It pretty well stops W, so I’m not sure what I’ll do about X, Y and Z, unless I just say more about things we’ve talked about before. Oh, no – there’s Z!
It’s a very long list. And it certainly covers most of the letters from A to Z, so I said I’d do the Challenge again, with the assistance of Ronnie and Reggie, who haven’t been here a year yet, so this is just one more thing for them to cope with. Well, they have to start blogging some time. I must have apprentices, just in case.
Here’s a picture of me (the handsome ginger one), with Ronnie and Reggie (the hairy ones) and my birthday cake for my fourth birthday last January 11th.

Oh, and I hope to meet some of the people who have supported our A to Z in the past, when they may have ‘spoken’ to Locksley, or Biggles, or Roscoe, or Kevin, or Dylan, or George, or one of their assistants. Some of them are listed in the panel at the side.
See you again in April, I hope.
love

I’m sure you’ve read the other boys’ A to Z posts, Auntie. So I hope we\ll bring something new as we’re filling in the gaps.
And Ronnie is safely home from the vets after having his teeth attended to, and Dr Rebekah agreed to look at the finished (final draft, Mummy says) book on Guinea Pig Care to offer advice and corrections 🙂

Sorry that I haven’t been keeping up with this blog, Pippin! I used to get email notifications when a post went up, but that stopped for some reason. I resubscribed, so I hope to get them again. I need the reminder.
A care guide is a fantastic idea! You, your mummy, George, and all the bloggers gone by have provided very useful information. A single resource with all of it will be very handy.
Julius and Percy approve.
Percy is getting huge, BTW. I haven’t weighed him, but he’s probably close to Julius’ size now. It’s hard to compare visually, since Julius has all that crazy fluff.

Ronnie and Reggie look big, Auntie, but they are much lighter than me. Mummy says Ronnie is petite and Reggie is chunky, but they’re still about 4/5ths of my weight.

This is gonna be the most adorable blog in the challenge, with the most fun comments!!
There are plants that start with X… maybe some piggies have feelings on those?
