Greetings from Home

Hi! Pippin here again. I’m sorry I’m late, I sort of lost track of things since we came home on Friday. Mummy’s been out at craft fairs ever since, so I thought it was Sunday yesterday.

We enjoyed our holiday. Well, I did, at any rate. Especially when it was floor time, which seemed to be both morning and afternoon, and into the evening. I liked having a chance to get to know Ronnie and Reggie better, but they aren’t ready to run around with me yet. Not without supervision, Mummy says.

Mummy went out a lot, to castles and bird places. One day she was out in the rain, but she hung up her wet things when she came home and she was dry underneath. She started painting another picture on our last full day there, when it was very very windy with rain in the night. She took lots of pictures of clouds in the daytime and said they were fabulous. She was trying to paint them, too.

It was nice in the cottage, but it’s even nicer being home. We have our nice big runs, and our other beds and tunnels. R&R seem to be more relaxed too. Mummy thinks they’ve finally realised that they’re here for good and this is their home. Ronnie is smiling more, too. I expect he’s planning something. He’s that sort of pig.

Mummy told me about a TV programme that said research showed guinea pigs really do communicate with humans. Well, dur, of course we do. And Mummy’s pretty good at understanding us too. But then, she’s always taken the trouble to learn. Ludo told me that. He told me lots of interesting things, come to think of it. I should have listened to him more.

It seems to get dark earlier since we came home. Mummy says it’s because there’s only two months till the winter Solstice. We can have a party then.

till next time, love

Pippin xxx
