Hi! I’ve been trying to think of a different greeting, since you know it’s Pippin here. Is “hi” too informal?
It’s been quiet this week. We’ve been in our runs or out in the garden. Mummy has done some work on her computer. She had an idea for a second “Cavies of Flexford Common” book. She’s written the first page to remind herself what it’s about. I think Locksley’s in it and he’s going to get into trouble. That sounds about right, I think.

Ronnie and Reggie talk a lot. It’s not loud, just chatting to each other like they were still babies. I grew out of baby talk soon after I met Victor. They’re still doing it and they are nearly two. And they’re also quite small under all that hair. But they’ve been in a hutch in the Rescue for over a year so maybe they haven’t really grown up yet. They are going to meet Dr Rebekah tomorrow, just for a check up. But Dr Rebekah also sees the Rescue’s guinea pigs, so maybe they’ve already met.

I try to take an interest in them, but at present they spend a lot of their time up the other end, except at breakfast. But even though we eat our breakfasts quite close to each other, we’re not going to pay any attention to anything else then, are we?
The weather’s been quite dull, but still warm. The grass has grown a little, and it’s very tasty. We’ve been going out for an hour or so, to let R&R get used to it. They’re in the covered run, all secure. I have the big run, which I like now. And Mummy sits next to us, reading, or does some weeding on the other side of us. She wants to sow some seeds for veggies in winter. That sounds good to me!

See you next week,
love

Hi Pippin , I like your hi’s I think it’s nice that you are casual with your readers!
Ronny and Reggie are probably growing up fast now that they have more space and more attention I am sure they will soon be more sociable. You will all have fun and adventures.
Oh! Well done Mummy for start another book…I am looking forward to my copy of The Quest for Orichalcum , I ordered it a while back, to arrive, not long now!
Be good 💜💜💜

I’m sure you are a wonderful big,Brother and you are right, after everything they have been through they aren’t used to their surroundings and the baby talk probably makes them feel secure.

I think “hi” is fine, Pippin.
Lynley came to us when he was two. At least, that’s the age that the rescue indicated. That would make him seven now. He’s still quite small, but he eats like a teenager. I don’t know where he puts it.
I think Julius is still expanding. He’s massive, possibly larger than the very large Augustus. I limit his pellets so he won’t get too chubby. He tends to ignore his hay when he fills up on pellets. I guess he’s destined to be a big pig.
Size isn’t nearly as important as good health. I’m sure your mummy feels the same.
You’re looking quite fit and happy, Pips.
