Hello, Pippin here. I’ll be doing all the posts for a while. Mummy says that probably one or both will join in the blogging eventually, but it’s a very advanced skill for a guinea pig, so it’ll take time.
So, I’m in charge!
Ronnie and Reggie are thought to be brothers, born in September 23, which makes them nearly two years old. I’m three and a half and a bit. So from youngest to oldest in the space of a week! They’ve been in the rescue since April 24. Wait! That’s ages! And they were only six months old when they went in! How awful, they’ve been there all this time. But Mummy said they had a nice hutch and lots of company. They’ll need time to settle here in their huge run, and with it being pretty quiet here. I can’t wait to get to know them.

It’s been a quiet week, and very hot. Apart from going to see guinea pigs, mummy spent most of the time in here, keeping me company. I watched her working. And also talking to people on the phone. Most of it involved numbers. I’m not good with numbers. Mummy likes numbers if they are big coming in and small going out. I think that makes sense.
She’s also been working on new book, and letting everyone know about it. And now she’s got two ideas for guinea pig books: the first is the A to Z of guinea pigs, based on our April A to Z posts over the years. And she said she was thinking of doing something in the Princelings world starring Jasmine. But now Ronnie and Reggie have arrived, she’s thinking of making it a crime caper in the Realms. She says English people of a certain age will understand.
It means nothing to me. There’s a Pippin in the books. He was a great flyer, but he died at the end of book 9. Maybe there needs to be a new Pippin in the books. I know, if Ronnie & Reggie do the crimes, I should be the detective!
I must tell Mummy. I’m sure she’ll work something out!

It’ll be a quiet week this week, to let them settle in. It might get a bit cooler so I can go out before the sun gets so low. But we’d like it to rain, so the grass freshens up a bit. Mummy’s watering the plants from what she calls the reserve tank, but she doesn’t water the grass. That’s the most important bit, surely? Oh, herbs and veggies and dandelions…yes, they are very important. Well, Mummy knows best.
See you next week,
love

Hello, Pippen. I’ve finally caught up with all the guinea pig posts and am so sorry to hear about Ludo. So now you are in charge and will have to make sure Ronnie and Reggie learn all about their new home. I hope they prove to be good friends!
