Hello, Ludo here again, all happy and lumpless.
I’m sorry if I got you all upset last week with talk of doom and gloom, but Mummy was very, very worried about me. And I was very worried about my lump, which was horrid. But Dr Rebekah sent me to sleep, and took it away while I was sleeping, and stitched my skin back together. It looks very funny at present, because some of the white skin is mixed in with the black skin (my white hair grows from the first, my black hair from the latter).

I’m going back to see Dr Rebekah tomorrow, so she can take the stitches out. There are blue threads keeping my skin together while they heal. I think they’ve healed okay, but she can see them better than me.

Pippin’s coming too, for a check-up. He’s been quite lethargic lately, so he’s going to see Dr Rebekah just to see if anything’s wrong. Actually, since Thursday he’s been behaving normally. It’s strange because on Wednesday Mummy gave him the wrong dose of potassium citrate which is the thing for our cystitis. Instead of 0.05ml of PotCit to 0.5ml of water, she did it the other way round! Then she realised why Pippin had made such a face at her, and gave him an extra 5 mls of water to hopefully wash it through his tummy before it could take effect. And he’s had no metacam this week, either. He’s had his joint support biscuit though, as have I. He seemed much brighter this week, so maybe not having his meds is better for him.
I’m having trouble eating because Dr Rebekah found my bottom incisors were cracked, so she cut them off! They are growing again, but it’s been very difficult to pick things up to get them in my mouth. I managed to sort of suck the hay in once I’d got my top teeth round it. My veg has been cut up into all sorts of sizes and shapes, while Mummy tried to work out what suited me best. I had that Emeraid stuff by tube as well, on several days. I’m not that keen on it. But I’ve put on the weight I lost between Tuesday and Friday (taking account of the weight of the lump). So I’m doing okay now.

We’ve been out in the garden every evening for an hour or two. We have to wait till it’s cool enough for us to go out. I like it in the garden. I think Mummy’s going to move the runs for tomorrow, though. The grass won’t be quite so long then. Shame, as I’ve just discovered a great technique for eating these long bits!
Hope you’ve had a good week.
Love
