Hello, Pippin here.

Ludo told you all about the noises in the kitchen last week. They continued. Mummy put us in the summerhouse some mornings, then our run in the garden for some grass in the afternoons. That was probably the best part of the week.

The men didn’t come on Friday, or the weekend, and they’re not coming today, either. It’s because it’s Easter, whatever that is. Something to do with spring and eggs, I think. So we’ve had nice restful days and we didn’t have to go in the summerhouse. But we went in the garden when it didn’t rain.

the most exciting thing that happened this week was having my toenails trimmed. I have tried to get out of this for most of my life because it’s so scary. But Mummy tried it differently this time, and I felt a bit better about it. And then she sat me up so she could do my front nails and I watched very carefully. And she trimmed them all, and I never needed to go ‘ouch!’. So maybe I shall sit still next time she has to do them. It seems less stressful for both of us.

Apart from that, nothing much happened. Mummy is tired of not having a kitchen to play in. I can see lots of furniture in there, all around the walls like before but a different colour. She says we’re about halfway now. So at least two more weeks. That’s a long time.
