Victor’s turn at the vets

Hello, Ludo here today.

Last week Victor and I went to see Dr Rebekah again. Well, Victor went for the first time since the summer. Dr Rebekah decided the lump behind his ear had grown so much she’d better take it off. She’s doing that tomorrow, Tuesday. She was wondering whether there will be enough skin underneath to stitch it up. Mummy’s wondering if she’ll use some magic artificial skin if there isn’t. And also, since Vic sometimes scratches it, whether he’ll have to have one of those lampshades that dogs and cats wear to stop them licking leg wounds. Or maybe she’ll have to find an old glove and cut a finger off it, and put it over Vic’s hind foot so he can’t do any damage scratching. I think Dr Rebekah will explain all tomorrow. She will send the lump to the scientists to find out exactly what sort it is, too.

I’m feeling a lot better. My bladder feels much more comfortable and it doesn’t hurt when I wee. And the juice meds are tasty. But I had a bit of a tummy upset with sloppy poos in the week, and since I have been objecting to the Emeraid, Mummy stopped giving it to me. She was worried I’d lose weight again, but in fact I’ve put a little on over the last few days. She’s been giving me extra Readigrass to make up for the Emeraid. I much prefer it. Dr Rebekah was pleased with me when she saw me. She’ll be even more pleased to know I’ve put on weight.

Pippin is being much more sociable, too. I think he’s got used to having next-door neighbours. He’s getting to be quite a nice chap.

We’ll update you in the week about Victor and his lump. Till then

love
