Hello, Locksley here. I’m sorry I’m so late, but I’ve only just had breakfast. I know! So late in the day!

Mummy’s been out for the last four days. She gave us our meds and a quick cuddle and breakfast each day, then went out and came back late in the afternoon. Some days she let us have half an hour out on the grass before it got a bit cold. One day she couldn’t do that because the grass was still too wet from the morning. I think that was Saturday. She said she got a bit wet unloading her car, but her helpers got even wetter. She’s put on her list of things to take with her ‘spare socks’. I think she had wet feet all day.

But today she stayed in bed late, then got up and gave us long cuddles and runs, and cleaned us out, and did our weigh-in (that’s usually Saturday, or Sunday if she goes out), and then we had breakfast… a bit late. And rather than snooze, I thought I’d better catch up with you.

Nothing much happened while she was out. Nothing much happened when she was in, either. She tells us what she gets up to when she’s out, but I forget the detail. She’s usually selling books, but she was also showing her chapter illustrations. Locally, that was. And books in Salisbury, where it rained.

We’re going to have fresh grass when we go out this afternoon, so I’d better stop and finish my breakfast so she knows we’re ready for grass. Oh, and she’s promised me that yummy tube food again, because I’m getting too light. That’s fine by me. She might take me to see Dr Rebekah again in case my teeth are wrong, but I think they’re okay.
