Where did May go?

Hello, Ludo here. It’s June already!

I think May went awfully quickly. Probably because the weather got a bit gloomy, so after Locksley posted we’d been out a lot, we didn’t go outside again till yesterday. Last week it was sunny, but with a strong wind, too cold for Mummy to sit out in. And if she can’t sit out with us, we don’t go out. There are too many birds who could damage us with their big beaks. Called rooks. I don’t think the pigeons would peck us, but those rooks look like they might. The magpies too, although they don’t come in the garden as much.

Today was perfect though. Mummy put the awning out so we all had a bit of shade from lunchtime onwards. We went out without breakfast because she said we could eat as much grass as we liked. I did! And there’s still plenty left for tomorrow 😀

Locksley went to see Dr Rebekah on Friday, because he’s been off his food and losing weight again. He’s going back tomorrow to have his teeth smoothed, but the main problem is the roots grow too much in his jaw which is what makes it painful for him. But he eats his metacam and his Emeraid, and he likes those, so he’s looking quite well, really.

Pippin is also going to Dr Rebekah so she can have another look at his lumps. She squeezed lots of stuff from the one on his back in January, and Mummy cleared it again on Friday, but there’s a harder one next to it. And he’s got another one on his belly. So he’s going to have them checked.

I don’t have any lumps, and neither does Victor. I suppose we’re just perfect, even though we do have arthuritis. Mummy has been having problems finding our arthuritis biscuits online. Everywhere says they are out of stock. She says I don’t need to panic as we’ve got enough for four weeks. But she will get them in as soon as she can.

I hope that is soon. Before the end of June, definitely.

I hope you are well,

Ludo xx

  1. Sounds like all your various lumps, bumps and ills are being well taken care of, Ludo. May did whizz by – I have no idea where it went! If those arthritis biscuits are from Amazon, maybe your Mum could try Amazon US – we often get things from Amazon UK that aren’t available on Amazon US!

  2. hi Noelle, Mummy here. They come from Oxbow, an American company. We’ve been having intermittent supplies ever since Brexit, although their other products don’t seem to be in short supply. But this is the first time that nobody has it, even all the Amazon suppliers. I’ve ordered it from Oxbow’s official uk supplier, but they on holiday till 10 June. I don’t know whether it’s actually in stock or they’ll have it by then… here’s hoping.

if I ordered it from a US supplier, it would probably take three months, and get taxed (import tax) around $30 on top of the list price!
