May has been sunny

Hello, Locksley here. I’ve recovered from the April A2Z, thanks to last week’s lovely weather. We’ve been out on the grass every day since Thursday, although there was a touch of thunder around yesterday, and it’s not so nice this morning.

The sunshine has also brought different foods for breakfast. It’s been the same most days for ages, although Mummy usually swaps something interesting in like fennel or pepper. So we get lettuce leaves every day, with lots of different sorts mixed together, and rocket or spinach, and herbs, which vary, and the swap food.

But suddenly we’re getting apples, and melon, and pears. I love them all, but Victor got a bit of an upset tummy eating his melon too fast. Mummy had to give his bottom a wash, which he was very embarrassed about, but he said felt great afterwards. He said everyone should have a bottom wash. Mummy keeps threatening us with them, but she’s been very busy this week, and apparently bottom washes need a lot of wrist strength, and she doesn’t have much of that. It gives her problems taking photos with her iPad too, because it’s heavy to hold in one hand. But she manages.

These are from this week.

She went to see her horses too. These two were both injured. The dark one is nearly better, the grey one is confined to his box till they work out what’s wrong. I don’t think I’d mind being confined to his box because it’s about the size of our room. But it hasn’t got such good hiding places.

I hope there’s more sun this week, although Mummy says rain is due Wednesday. So we have to eat as much grass as we can when it isn’t. Ah, so that’s why our breakfasts are smaller—to leave room for the grass.

See you next time,

love

Locksley xxxx
