Leap Day came early

Hello, Locksley here again, but on a Tuesday..

Some would say that I’m late this week. Mummy explained that this year February has 29 days, as there’s an extra one for ‘leap day’. So I had leap day yesterday.

I didn’t really; it’s on Thursday, but Mummy went out early yesterday, and she gave us breakfast before she went. When she came back she gave us our meds and cuddles and cucumber and we had our run-around, so that was sort of normal, but much later.

Then she opened a big bag of hay and put it in the haybox, and handed some out too, so that was fun. But since she didn’t remind me, I forgot to post later. So I’m posting now.

It’s funny at the moment. Some days are wet, then sunny. Some are sunny, then wet. Some are dark and gloomy all day, with torrential rain. And some are just windy days. Well, most are windy.

Mummy’s had a sore foot as well as a sore neck and sore wrists. I think her wrists are getting a lot better. Often she doesn’t need to wear her wrist supports, even to clean us out (not on bed changing day, though). But last week she was wobbling about a lot when she carried us, because she was limping on her foot, and she said she’d pulled a muscle in her hip. They both seem better now. I think she did the right thing and rested in her night room most of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Yesterday she went to the neck man, and has a new exercise to do which makes her look like she’s pulling her neck off with a towel. Very strange. But Mummy seems to feel it helps.

I’m glad I don’t have to do any exercises like that. Perhaps Victor should, as he has a funny hip, but it seems okay most of the time. He loves running around in the mornings, anyway. He’s more energetic than me. I think we’re all looking forward to going outside when spring comes.

Not long now!

See you next time

love

  1. Locksley, you are describing pre-spring weather. Very unsettled, but bear with it. I think the change in weather is affecting your Mum’s aches and pains. My arthritis gives me fits some days and other days is fine. I hope the warmer weather coming will make you all very happy!
