I’m fine and Mummy’s whiffling

Hello, Locksley here again.

I can report that Ludo had his teeth done by Dr Rebekah as you saw, but this week one of his top teeth has broken. Mummy said it’s the one that was growing too fast before, so it may have weakened up in the gum. She’s making Ludo’s food easier for him to eat and he seems fine.

Ludo’s broken the same tooth again

I didn’t go to see Dr Rebekah because I put on weight and Mummy thought I looked fine, it was just my weight worrying her. She’s a fine one to talk – she’s lost a lot of weight this year which was why she had trouble with her knees. They are a lot better since she’s built her muscles back up. I have good muscles under my hair. It’s just hard to find them.

But I think Mummy has a URI – an upper respiratory infection. She’s making a lot of coughing noises and at night she makes noises which she doesn’t usually do. I’d call it whiffling if we were doing it, but it’s louder than that! She started doing this after the very cold craft fair the week before last, and she’s not stopped yet. She seems okay otherwise, except she complains that coughing hurts her neck. I just cuddle her and help her feel better.

She’s also fretting about Christmas, which is only two weeks away. Usually we’ve had our hat photos taken by now, but she hasn’t done them yet. She also hasn’t done the cards she sends to her friends, although she has had one arrive from Auntie Noelle (thank you!), and a package from Auntie Dawn. She says she’s keeping it till Christmas Day. And she’s not sure whether she can manage to put the Christmas tree up. There was a box arrived on Saturday while she was out at another craft fair, her last till April. Someone said it had our Christmas presents in it, and as it came from Vet UK, they may be right. Isn’t that exciting?

So we’ll be back next week with our Christmas Greetings, and either a new photos or we’ll use the old ones. We haven’t changed much, although Pippin is a lot bigger than last year. He’s nearly two years old now!

Have a nice week

love

  1. A lovely blog post, Locksley! But I am worried about your Mum. Make sure she takes an antihistamine/decongestant at night ( I take something called NyQuil but I don’t know if it is sold in the UK). I sent our cards out early – tell her not to worry about hers. Pets to all of you and lots of cucumber.

Some nasty stuff is going around, and tis the season for humans to get sick. Give Mummy lots of cuddles. Tell her to be gentle with herself and not worry too much about doing the usual Christmas activities.

    Augustus and Lynley send regards.

    Love you, boys!

    XOXO
