We have new beds!

Hello, Locksley here again. Did you miss me last week? I thought Ludo did a very good post. I enjoyed it.

This week Mummy has given us something new. I think we saw these last year, when she tried them out and washed them several times to get them ready for general use. But then she put them away because she wanted to cut them in half. I’m talking about fleece blankets. Two of them were very big.

When Auntie Linda came round this week she helped Mummy cut them in half. And when Mummy changed the beds yesterday, we mostly had the new ones. Well, Ludo and Victor each had the new ones which had been cut in half, so there’s another one of each of those. I had the star one which I had before which isn’t big enough to cut in half, but is a wonderful size for a three or four panel run. And Pippin had the best of the rest, which is the red check one, although Mummy looked through photos of the past boys and thought it might be one of the early ones.

The first fleeces were the brown and white ones which went in Fred & George’s daytime run upstairs at the old house. That was when Mummy spent all her time writing books, so she thought it was a good idea to have them in her office while she worked. And as you probably know, we’re in her office, or her office is in our room now.

Mummy says my blue and white fleeces are probably some of the newer ones, so I can still use them when the star one is being washed. She found a picture of Percy and Midge on them. Biggles knew Percy, so it’s not that long ago. Not ancient, anyway.

The new ones feel lovely and soft on our feet. I wonder how long they will take to get ancient?

I hope you had a good week, and it wasn’t too cold. Mummy had to call a man to come and start her car on Saturday, and she was nearly late for her craft fair. Her hands were hurting a lot when she came back, and all day yesterday too. She’s seeing the bones man on Friday so she’ll probably tell him about them. Oh, and she says if I keep losing weight, she’s taking me to see Dr Rebekah. Apparently I’ve lost 100 grams over the last two months. I think she’s lost more than that, but she’s looking a little better than she did in September.

Till next time

love

Locksley xxxx

  1. Your fleeces look warm and snuggly, Locksley. Nice for winter days. I hope the bone man can help your Mum – I take pills every few days for mine. Cold weather hurts them. Thanks for the update! and eat!
