Hello! Locksley here with the weather report for last week.
I know it’s not exactly the most exciting news you’re getting from me, but we have a very relaxed life. The only variation, really, is whether it’s nice enough for us to go outside and eat grass. Last week it was nice enough on several days, and Mummy moved our runs again so we could have a go at levelling up her grass in another spot. We’re very good at that.

But yesterday it rained hard for most of the day. Mummy was very clever and got us done early so she could go outside and trim the bush in the front garden. She had just finished and was talking to her friend across the road, when it started to rain. She was very pleased with herself. She only does about half an hour gardening at a time so she doesn’t strain her hands.
She also talked to our new neighbours. The people have finally moved into the house next door where the builders were for so long. But they are different people from the ones who bought it to change it all. Mummy says they’re very nice, but I think the two boys are extremely noisy. They scream around the place, well their garden, when they are playing. Mummy says we’ll get used to it, and it won’t last long as they’ll be going to school during the day, and winter’s coming too. Hmm… and what about next summer, Mummy? They’ll be a little older and probably not so over-excited, she said. It’s odd though, because we can’t see them at all. Their garden is behind our summerhouse, and then the hedge which is very high. Mummy can’t even see through it. But they all met up in the front garden yesterday when Mummy was doing the bush.
So yesterday we couldn’t go out, because even when it looked nice at about five o’clock, it was too wet on the grass. And today it looks nice but Mummy says that showers are expected. Ah well. It’ll help the last of the cucumbers, and the beans, and the celeriac for winter, which all need watering. Mummy said if the cucumber leaves get a bit more water they’ll be delicious when she pulls them up, this week or next. Sounds yummy!
And this week is the autumn equinox. Equal day and night time, as Fred explained, once upon a time.
Have a nice week,
love

Thanks for reminding me about the autumn equ9inox, Locksley. I’d forgotten. We are heading into fall finally here – the days are now in the 80s instead of 90s with nights in the 60s. The pool water is chilly but I’m still swimming. You guys do a good job as lawnmowers!
