I’ve been out in the jungle!

Hello, Pippin here. It’s been nice and sunny this weekend, and Mummy moved our runs. The grass is hugely long and some of the other plants are yummy, too.

I really enjoyed running around and eating my through the undergrowth, I’m a good explorer! Ludo tended to stick to the bits he found easier. He’s having trouble seeing his way around, so he relies on smells a lot. Mummy usually lays the things out in his cage or his run in the same way, so he knows where he is.

Sometimes he wheeks loudly, asking Mummy where she is. Most of the time she’s in the next room, or sitting in the chair nearby, but doing things quietly. If she moves or talks to him he settles down again,

Yesterday Mummy had a funny smell on her hand, called orange. She’d been making carrot and orange soup. I was worried about the carrots! Then she said they were the fat ends of the ones we’d had the tops off, so they were a bit big for us. She’s right, the leaves and the top bits are just enough. They aren’t the tastiest carrots we’ve had, though. She said the soup is good, and she’s frozen most of it, but she got juice on her glove when she was squeezing the orange for its juice. She’s washing the gloves with our beds today. Do you think they’ll smell of orange after? She wears gloves all the time to keep her wrists warm.

There’s nothing much happening this week, except lots of warm sunny days. Sounds like more jungle time for me!

love

Pippin xx
