It’s been sunny and wet

Hello, Victor here. It’s been sunny this week, but there’s also been a lot of rain, mostly at night. We are safe indoors, with our door open a little for some nice fresh air.

Everyone’s the same as usual, although Mummy seems much better. She’s been going out for a short walk on sunny afternoons, and she doesn’t cough much now. Yesterday she was out all day with Auntie Teresa and Auntie Dani. She said she was going to see some Spanish horses from Vienna in London. I don’t know why she went out all day for that. On Saturday she watched one of her racing club horses in a champions race at Ascot, and just yelled at her on the screen. Actually she didn’t yell at her, she just said “come on” a few times, and “good girl” at the end. To come third in a champions race is pretty special, so she was pleased.

We haven’t done anything special. Clean beds, new bottle of Metacam, new order of hay (due today or tomorrow)… That’s all the excitement we get. Although Mummy frowned at a spot I had above my eye that left a mark when she took it off with her tweezers. She couldn’t see whether it was a tick or a bit of stuff like behind my ear (she dropped it and couldn’t find it again). She keeps checking just above my eye, which is irritating because I’m sure it’s fine.

I hope you’re all well and happy. We had a big moon look through our window midweek. Did you get one too?

Till next time

Victor xx

  1. We’ve been enjoying a bright moon in its various phases for the last ten days or so, Victor. Your life sounds sublime – a good schedule, good food, treats and cuddling. I think you Mum went to see some horses called Lipizzaners, horses that dance!

I hope you are all enjoying fall and it’s good news that your Mum is feeling better.
